Four hundred CVs is not a shortlist. It is a pile.

Anyone can forward CVs. What takes time is finding out which ones are real, and that only happens after you have spent an hour of a hiring manager's day on an interview that should never have been booked. Calibre HR does that part first.

Exports to CSV and XLSX, because the shortlist usually has to travel on to someone else in a spreadsheet.

The score sorts. The verdict decides.

Two questions in every paper are written from the candidate's own CV. Not "tell us about your strengths", but the order they closed the books in and the one thing that most often broke.

A borrowed CV cannot answer that. A person who did the job answers it in two minutes without thinking. Everything else on a test can be looked up. This cannot, and it costs nothing to ask.

  • Scored 82, does not stand upskip
  • Scored 64, stands upinterview
  • Scored 69, thininterview, harder questions

A high score on a CV that does not stand up is the most expensive row in the pile, because it is the one that gets interviewed first everywhere else.

What we will not do.

Worth saying plainly, because most of the industry does the opposite.

  • Decide who you hire

Calibre orders the pile so a person can start at the top. The interview, the judgement and the offer stay with you.

  • Tell a candidate they are selected

Candidates are told they have cleared the assessment and are in the shortlist pool, never that a job is theirs. A candidate who believes wrongly that they are hired stops applying elsewhere, and the anger that follows lands on your name as well as ours.

  • Hide the transcript

Every mark, every answer and every flag is visible to you. If you disagree with a verdict you can read the exact answer that produced it.
